Power Generation started at Kiğı Dam and HEPP
Kiğı Dam which is one of Turkey’s largest dams in its class constructed by Özaltın Construction in Bingöl has started to generate power.
Kiğı Dam and HEPP project was constructed on Peri River located 12 kilometers northeast of Kiğı district in Bingöl. Having a body volume of 23 million cubic meters as a clay core rock fill dam, Kiğı Dam with a height of 175 meters and an 8500 meters long power tunnel be ranked at the fourth among dams of its class and eighth among all dams across Turkey.
